I think you’re right. Fear is like a survival mechanism. I have to differentiate between what truly threatens me, and what simply causes anxiety. The blank page, for example, won’t eat me up nor even chase me! If I tackle the anxiety of writer’s block by perhaps free writing for 10 minutes, or making an outline, even if if not all the ideas wind up in the final product, then I have a positive outcome!
